thanks i'll have to try them out but its not quite the solution i was after

ill try rephrase the scenario

say for example you were downloading a bunch of mp3's and you decide to continue downloading them at another time so you close limewire with the incomplete mp3s

your computer dies and you have to reformat so you grab the incomplete mp3s and back them up in hopes you can continue downloading at a later stage

now i've got these mp3s and i tried placing them back in the incomplete folder on my fresh install of limewire now limewire can see the files in that folder and loads them into the download section however they are all at 0% and will not download

so i believe there must be some kind of indexing file that keeps track of all the files and how much has been downloaded (maybe an index.dat file like the older versions)

basically what i want to know is where is this index for limewire 4.17.5b?

or is there a program that can look at these mp3s and build an index.dat that i can use with the older versions of limewire?

thanks =D
