Hi! I'm a former musician returning to Entertainment in the Atlanta area. Around th end of 2008 I'm planning to be up and running with a DJ and VJ set up and want to add Karaoke. Truth is, I haven't even gotten all of my sound equipment together yet. I currently have to Bose L1 model 2's with 4 B1's and Tonematch. I have a rackmount Denon X500 Mixer, Denon DHC4500 Controller, and a Denon BU4500. I have a Shure Elvis microphone and a wireless Shure beta 58. In terms of software I have both DJPower and PCDJ-VJ-KJ. I currently have about 400 Karaoke songs on CDG's.
I have little experience with the technology of CD's, Videos and CDG's.
I have not yet read through theforums and I may find a lot of there questions answered elsewhere. But my first questions are:
1) Will PCDJ-VJ work well for my Karaoke?
2) Is the key changer up and down of the PCDJ enough for practical work?
3) I am thinking of buying the Vocopro UHF 5805 4 microphone system so
I can have the 4 additional mics, rechargeable, and being less
expensive they are more expendable if a customer damages them. Are
they of good enough quality to make this a good plan?
4) How the heck do I get the CDG's onto the hard drive? I'm not finding
this easy. Is there some place to learn this for a rookie like me?
5) Is there any training forum or DVD that can help me learn the art of
Karaoke?
