Two things I can think of here.

(1) Since iTunes v. 7.7 up to the recent v.8.0 version, LW's shared library has not been compatible with LW since iTunes made these changes. Some people say they had success with downgrading their iTunes version. Yet some others including myself had problems with the older iTunes refusing to load the newer iTunes Music Library. So you can either take a risk with that, else ignore the Shared Library issue & simply deal with it in other ways. Such as looking at most recently added files playlist.
