Ok, here's the deal. I have McAfee Security. I have completely disabled anything pertaining to firewalls. It is safe to say I am not using a firewall in any way whatsoever. I have also, for added measure, created exceptions for everything that I would like to have access, should the firewall ever be on. At some point in the past month, my McAfee updated and since then I have not been able to connect to LimeWire. While I have found numerous topics relating the same problem I am having, none of the suggested solutions worked for me despite having worked for everyone else. Nothing I do changes the fact that LimeWire cannot access the network. I have visited McAfee support and tried everything their forum suggested. I have searched this forum and tried everything suggested. The only thing I have NOT done is use www.portforward.com because I do not want to purchase software. I have every update for Vista, McAfee and Limewire available. Any help would be greatly appreciated since this has been ongoing for a few weeks and I'm very frustrated.
