I already read that thread. Adding *.mp3 to the kill filter sort of defeats the purpose of the entire network, don't you think? There may be a few other reasons folks use P2P but not many.
I've seen the "..girl has..." show up quite a few times but not near as often as the files I listed. They show up each and every time.
I'd quit using any P2P software for several years for this very reason.
When the record companies started releasing mislabeled versions of popular songs that was bad enough. Now we have morons keeping the computer repair shops in business cleaning trojans that should have been blocked in the 1st place.
I've not had to spend any money as I keep my AV updated and I do check each file before placing it in the downloadable directories. Pain in the butt but necessary to protect myself and (hopefully) others. |
