Ok, tell us what happens. Can't you choose any options within the Miscellaneous Settings page?
Does your computer freeze?
Do you see any error message?
Can you go on to the next page after Miscellaneous Settings?
What version of Java do you have installed (go to Control Panel > Java > About... there you'll see the version)?
