LimeWire itself is safe enough, unfortunately it's the people using it who are causing others to get viruses because of their unsafe computer security.For example some users have no firewall protection -- this is like leaving the door to your house open for anyone to enter -- secondly they are not using a good antivirus program with the latest updates. This is just 2 of the most basic needs before you connect to the internet -- like peerless says there are alot of good free software available you just have to look around for it -- so please don't blame limewire -- the people who use it need to be educated in computer security.
