Both LW & FrostWire had gnutella connection issues themselves each at stages over past year & half, due to various reasons. I could say more but perhaps not necessary, .. a simple connection problems search will find the reason. Was getting over 700 KB/s a couple days ago with downloads with LW, my connection is not as fast as some people's.
That explains a lot! Thank you very much for the clear explanation. Gtk-Gnutella hasn't had an update for quite some time. I might try a newer version of Phex, but I quit using Phex because it's Java based and takes too much system resources. The same thing goes for Limewire: but Limewire's connections are immaculate.

I'll tell my Apple Mac friend that he needs to update his Aquisition version (he even, aaaarrrggghhh, paid for it, I mean: paying for a simple gnutella client???? wtf???). But then again I might not because I hate Mac's and I'd rather see their users suffer. Hah ah. Just kiddin'.
