Apparently not. It's built in Java 1.6 so that's a requirement. I hate the way mac limits updates to their newest OSX's, except for security & iTunes updates. pfft All about money I guess. (users of earlier OSX versions are even more limited in versions of LW they can run.)

LW 4.18 or earlier will be fine for you however.
