Unless of course you would prefer a skeleton program.
Personally I suspect their own enthusiasm with actually reaching LW 5 after so many versions of LW4 was their reason for releasing a Beta version as the official release. I suspect it should have been held back until users had had a chance at giving proper feedback on the program & LW.org programmers had re-instated some of the old functions they left out.
You can blame Apple for not making a 32-bit Java 6 available for users. Instead their Java 6 (1.6) is only available for the most recent intel machines.
