OH .. sorry that was for windows users. Preferences is under the LW icon top left of screen next to apple icon. You will find your preferences in a menu under there. I usually use the keyboard shortcut: command-comma __ ⌘ , __ Command = apple key

So .. preferences/options -> Advanced -> Performance.
