This might be due to a slowish system, many shares, & many incomplete files. Yes even for me, sometimes it spins for ages. LW 5 does not like too many shares. Both music & images seem to be the main culprits of being slow to load into the Library.
However, too many incomplete files which also load into library can also be at fault.
