Use a different player for playing/previewing the files. And just use WMP to add the songs to your library via using the WMP import/scan tool for new media files. VLC although it's primarily a video player is excellent at playing all audio types you find on Gnutella network. If VLC cannot play the song file then it's probably a fake file; VLC - (click on link)
