Are you sure about that file extension? I'm not sure I've ever seen one. Are you sure it's not the original torrent you downloaded from a site? Otherwise attempts to open would not prompt LW to redownload it.

Go to LW's Library, find the file you downloaded, Select it, press Explore button or right-click & choose Locate File on Disk depending on whether you are using LW 4 or 5.
