Here's an example of downloading with the LW 5.2.2 beta. It has filters like in LW 4, however even more. You click on the album or artist to refine the search results. There's also a size, length & bitrate filters you can adjust with a slider.
You will also notice the Download window is in main window all the time in the same way as LW 4 except even if you are looking at uploads window, your downloads window will still be visible. Also speeds are shown.
