I am running limewire on OSX and find that if I download a large movie file, say 100mb, when it gets to around 30mb, sometimes further, I view it in the finder as you can on OSX and it is fine, it will say something like 10mins and thats what it plays at, however, at some point in the process, some of that data dissapears, because when complete, OSX reports the file as 100mb but the movies says something like 40secs and thats all that plays, not only where has the data gone that I had at 30mb to give me 10mins but also the rest of the downloaded data.

This problem is not specific to Limewire, I find that MSIE does this on certain web sites when downloading via HTTP (but a good download manager fixes this problem with MSIE).

The same happens in OS9, so it cannot be an OSX problem, however, I am on a 56k dialup and the moment (gonna change to ADSL anytime soon), anyone got suggestions as to the problem and / or a possible fix, whether it be a fix for downloading or a fix to retrieve the data following download?

Please, HELP!!!! This is frustrating.
