There were some differences we experimented with & found. LW 4.16 seems superior to LW 4.18 for downgrading to. And I do recall early complaints about LW 4.18 which changed the LW download preferences location to the main LW preferences folder & the actual LW download location to a different location. This is besides the complaints of the time.
