FYI the LW 5.2.2 beta has the download window visible at all times even if you're viewing the Library, P2P Network Window, Uploads window or browse results, the Download window will show all the time. And it is resizable. A big improvement over LW 5.1 & also better than LW 4 in that respect. LW 5.2.2 also introduced a couple new filters, such as a size filter.
