What about the environment? Wouldn't be nice to be able to walk beside a highway or freeway or footpath beside bumper to bumper full city peak traffic & not be overcome by poisonous fumes from car exhausts? Outside the city, it's amazing how many more stars you can see in the sky at night compared to the smog covered skies over the cities. Something I noticed from a very young age. Even during the daytime, see how far you can see across the horizon in the city with any clarity, compared to outside the urban scrawl.

I think many people are well aware of the gas gussoling hungry cars made in USA. lol Though I've heard at least one of the major car company in USA is going to stop making such large cars for a number of reasons.
