That's it. That is the latest version & it specifically fixed the facebook issue. Or should have. So I'm not sure.

Perhaps he should make a note of all his settings, close LW, delete the LW preferences folder (but remove the Downloads.dat file first), then open LW. Close it, replace the new downloads.dat file with the older one so he does not lose his old downloads history. I know that sounds like a lot of mucking around. But if he has come through using many versions of LW, his preferences might be partially corrupted. Explained here Deleting LW Preferences folder in OSX.

Oh .. and tell your friend to double-check there are no older versions of LW on his system. That might also affect things. Are you 'sure' your friend has LW 5.2.13? Your version is 5.2.10 so I suspected maybe your friend has same version. http://www.limewire.com/download/

BTW .. you could also suggest he/she set up a Test account, run LW there experimentally to see if same problems; Setting up a Test Account in OSX (click on link). Setting up & deleting an account on OSX is very easy & fast. 30-60 seconds to set up or delete; at least after you've done it once before.
