No, I was politely pointing out that you got things confused. You were supposed to figure that out (Besides I'm not defending anyone's opinion).
File sharers aren't too bothered about the legal accusations made by RIAA and the like for different reasons (mostly because they think record companies are charging way too much for a CD). Some actually believe that the accusations would not hold. Others take this as a form of "sampling". For them, file sharing is still a grey area, legally speaking.
Now, child pornography is an established crime; period.
So there you go, I didn't think I needed to spell it out, but hope you see the point now.
Besides, for many of us, child porn is distasteful anyway.
