If you paid for FW then you were scammed. Depending on how long ago you paid for FW, you may be able to contact your bank/CC company & have the transaction cancelled.

FW is free: FrostWire.com - Official Website - Download Free P2P BitTorrent/Gnutella Client - No Subscriptions, Just Download and Install

FW shows a turbo connection when properly connected - there's no 'boost' needed to show a turbo connection.

If you're having problems with spam showing in search results, you can filter out file extensions which are known for spam ( eg .wma, .wmv, .mov) via FW's tools > options > filters. And also filter out keywords that may appear in spam file names using the same option.

The junk filter is also an option, although it may end up showing good files as junk until the filter 'learns' over time what's junk and what's not - based on each user's settings.

Don't forget to check files with Bitzi to see whether they've been rated as good/bad.

A few threads with basic info to help ( info refers to LimeWire but same goes for FW)...
