the newer versions of limewire do have the ability to block known bad files, but of course that is limited to the list that is included...
you might try booting into safe mode and see if you can rectify your problem by uninstalling the program and any other new items that don't look right....of course this takes some computer savvy to pull off..
log into safe mode by hitting F8 after the boot process starts (when you turn your machine on)...if you hit the F8 key at the right time a menu will pop up and you should choose safe mode without networking....if you can't get in that way then you are truly hosed....
