greetings one & all

i'm presently a wee bit perplexed...i downloaded a song from limewire onto my mac & it is in my itunes library.
unfortunately the quality of the track is a bit suspect so i decided to delete it.
for some reason or another, wheni attempt to delete it from my itunes library (by highlighting & hitting delete) it does not go anywhere but remains in the library.

attempts at manually dragging it to the trash have proven fruitless as the song stil remains in the library.

i am open to suggestins.
