I'd suggest you try LW Basic first for at least a few months. Then consider Pro. The advantages of Pro are not dramatic. Some ability to download from more hosts per file (10 instead of 8), connects to 5 ultrapeers instead of 3, so improves search slightly, Some improvement in search engine internally. But most people only see subtle differences when they are expecting much more.

Oh .. and Pro now comes with in-built anti-virus support.
