I agree totally. And there are reasonable punishments if employers here get caught which may slide from heavy fines to jail terms

I forgot to mention in my last post, this is of course an issue that occurs in many countries.

And I also agree, the illegal workers themselves are desperate people, from poverty lands or places where things are not stable.

I guess in places like europe & USA it's easier to 'walk' across the border somehow. Whereas here we have lots of 'well trained' sharks that protect our shores rofl (The White Pointers have a special delicacy for those that drift their way.) JK of course. Since illegal workers here fly in. Different to some of the illegal migrants who pay people-smugglers to boat them in from Indonesia after they've usually flown across there.
