I agree that having full information on each of the new features would be nice - but I disagree that new versions should be held up until the manual is updated.
Manuals are harder to write than programs. If we had to wait for someone to update the manual, we'd never have any new software releases (and the new features are worth having as soon as possible at the moment).
Or, I could argue that since the software is Open Source, you have all the documentation you could ever need in as much detail as you could ever want - just go and read the source code.
Or, you could read all the forums. The information is pretty much buried, but then it would be in a manual as well.
However, my understanding of the wishlist is:
If you do a search that returns no results then that search is put into the wishlist so that you can access it (try it again) at another time. If all your searches always return at least one result the the wishlist will not make any difference for you.
