One thought is you try a similar client that does connect well using that protocol & use the host cache from that in your client to get that initial connection.

Someone (maybe one of the devs), might be able to help you further with your process of seeking hosts to connect to.

May I ask what kind of client it is. Which other client types it would be most similar to?
