There is a CDRWIN 9 version available (released early last year) that will work on Windows XP(SP2)/Vista/7 (32- and 64 bit). It is a commercial/trialware software. Might be worth checking out the trialware version to see if it works for your newer cd writer. Google it, you will find a download link to it.

But there might even be some free burner softwares out there that can do the same thing. Keep that in mind.
