That would only work if you changed your view settings to show hidden files and folders.
You said you were unsure which of two LimeWire folders were the ones you should delete. If you right-click each of them and choose Properties, it should say the location of the folder. If it is the correct one, then right-click the LimeWire folder and choose Delete.
If you were a MacOSX user I could write an applescript to do it for you and reinstall a fresh connection file and then launch LW in one go. lol
