You must still have Java 7 on your system. Check your Java control panel and I suspect you will find Java 7 is the 'active' Java on the system. To find the Java control panel in Windows 8, go to Search, type in Control Panel and click on Settings and you will see Java listed. If there is a better way let me know.
You can either uninstall Java 7 or use the shortcutfix for using with Java 7. But if you use that fix you should remove it first if you ever wish to uninstall LW.
