This is a dual solution. (a) it fixes the java launch problem. (b) it stops LW deleting the connection file if LW has not been used in 28 or more days.


A very important note: If you previously installed any of the LW-Java shortcut fixes, you will first need to uninstall them via the add/remove programs control panel before you install LimeStart.

Windows is a mixture of caveman and middle sixties (of octane leisure chemistry influence) and 'almost' today's technologies. I find it hard to work with. MacOSX is so much simpler. MacOSX's mapping and referencing system is so much easier to work with.





Edit 2020-09-11 - LimeWire Setup LW5 has now replaced the fix mentioned above. Only applicable to LimeWire 5 and LPE. This fix does numerous things including getting LW ready to connect let alone start and without the need to run any scripts after installing. Most thanks go to bigjx of the WireShare project.
