Have you tried the view menu in FireFox? Under View -> Toolbars.
You might have accidentally typed a shortcut which hides it. I'm not sure what it is on Windows but it might be the equivalent of Control-slash (underneath the ? question mark key on my keyboard.) But that might just be the bottom toolbar.
