Why are you going for an XP installed laptop when all the smart money is on Win 7.0 or Win 8.1 (which is an awful O/S)?

I must admit that I am still using XP but if I was going to buy or construct a new PC then I would install Win 7.0 (don't know which variant yet).

PS. I guess am just too old fashioned because I still love tower desktops rather than laptops.
