GTK-G's developer might be worth contacting in regards to GTK-G's development beyond what is in the papers. I am aware they now do UDP confirmations & I'm not so sure other clients do this (similar to how TCP requires this.) This obviously improves network communications with minimal extra bandwidth.
(Whereas TCP is both traffic & bandwidth demanding and significantly slower of course.)
