Perhaps experiment around with iTunes’ compatibility mode or Run as an Administrator via iTunes Properties. There's a small chance one or both of those changes might make a difference.
Possibly try Repair option from Control Panel.

iTunes does not use Java.

Very much appreciated info there LOTR, thank you. I did do the repair option from the control panel before I asked, to no avail.

OK It does seem to be working in compatibility mode, it automatically switched over to Windows XP SP2. Don't know why, but it is working. The only difference I can think of between these two computers is the older one says its windows version is 7 Home, and the newer says Windows 7 professional. ??? Don't know if that makes a difference.



What is your thought about me hooking up my ipod with 10K tunes to this totally empty program?
