Win 2000 Blue Screen of Death I had experienced this once or twice before with 2.2.4, but having just upgraded to 2.4.4 the problem is now ever present.
At some point very soon after starting up limeware I get a system fault so horrific I don’t even get a record in the Event log as to what went wrong – only the less then helpful note:
The computer has rebooted from a bugcheck: the bugcheck was: 0x0000001e (0xc000001d, 0xa00026e4, 0xbbbd6d3c, 0x81699fc8). Microsoft Windows 2000 [v15.2195].
I can't tell if this is generated because of a popup, a fault encounterd during a search, or something else - but it only happens with Limewire.
My system is otherwise very stable and trouble free - lots of mem, P3, and up-to-date service packs. The only thing that from time to time leads to some odd behavior is my Adaptec SCSI controler - an ADA-2940UW, but there is no evidence of a conflict that I can find.
Launch Limewire, wait about 10 seconds and poof - blue screen of death with a memory dump. The error appears to be tied to WIN32K.SYS
Sorting through the dump of the memory is not turning up anything useful. Anyone have a comment on what to look for or how to get around this.
Thanks in advance
