1. to chat you rightclick (or command click for mac) on the file you're downloading/uploading, and select the chat function. Also in the preferences, your chat must be enabled. I find most users aren't at the computer so they don't see the chat.


2. Gnutella is a network that is accessed by various clients. What client do you use? If it's limewire, just start it up, then type in the file you want and double click the name when you see what you want. When it finishes downloading go to your library tab and doubleclick the file to load it.
