Norton Antivirus does cause problems with many programs if “Start Auto-Protect when Windows starts up” is checked. It is actually loaded in DOS and causes problems when Windows attempts to manage the memory. Uncheck the “Start Auto-Protect” and place a shortcut to NAVAPW32.EXE in Start Menu\Programs\StartUp directory. This allows Windows to manage all the memory and may solve your problem. Good stuff!
