It is possible to share files between a Mac and a PC - LimeWire is not the way to do it. Nor is it necessarily easy if you aren't comfortable playing with network settings on both the PC and the Mac.

Although it isn't the most elegant solution - you might find that setting up an FTP server on one of the computers and then connecting with a client from the other is the easiest way to go.
