Hello!
Try this:
Manually remove the file from LimeWire Shared directory and move it to the desktop.
Now manually open up Stuffit Expander from its shortcut(alias) on the desktop.
Inside Stuffit go here:
File>Expand
and browse to the file in question and click choose.
Now it should open atleast if the file have the proper file extension added to it.If it is missing the.sit file extension then manually add it to the file name and try again. If it fails one more time then try to add the extension .mp3 and in iTunes go here:
File>Add to library
and browse to the same file and then click choose.
Then in the Library window browse(navigate) to the file in the list and then double click it and see if it will play if not then the file is worthless to you.
Why try to add the .mp3 extension?
Well it has happened to me a couple of times where I thougt I was downloading an application and it turned out that for some strange reason it was in reality a masked mp3 file.Really weird!!!
