i assure you, there are quite a few Macs among LimeWire folks, msyelf included, and they work pretty hard at getting the Mac versions of LimeWire running very smoothly. unfortunately, it's not always appreciated, but i'm glad for those that do show some love. having been a Mac technician for over seven years, but that's neither here nor there - i don't get into they-hate-us-Mac-folks discussions. however, the folks at LimeWire did not create Java, and you're right: Apple's implementation of Java is pretty buggy, but at the present time, i haven't heard anything about improving it anytime soon.
