This does not happen for you, though? This has only been in the code for 2.5.x versions -- so it will only pick up limewire.props files from previous 2.5.x installs.

Well speak of the devil!!! - I just loaded 2.5.5 and it did indeed preserve my previous props. I had been having this problem with all of the other incremental 2.5.x updates but this one is SWEET!!!
