If you are using the built in Limewire player I have noticed that too... sometimes when some other action is taking place within Limewire it will skip for just an instant. I believe it is a known issue ... there is no real fix for it that I am aware of. I have also noticed the Limewire player, at least on my system, will not properly play any files that are under 100kbps properly... while the same file will play fine on an external program.
