Human laws are all but perfect; copyright protection acts are just the proof of this assumption, because the real problem is RIAA "medellin-like" policy and not users behaviour.
It's in the people's rights to stand up against wrong laws: filesharing or (sometimes) software piracy are "natural" ways to do this.
Robin Hood was a "stealer", but it was also a metaphore for the people's desire of social justice.
