you know - I really wish I hadn't started this thread (especially rashly using the term 'user profile') - clearly in wondering if system set-up data such as number of available upload slots, number of files aavailable for sharing etc were taken into account in any way by shareaza (and not just say any individual hosts setting their own parameters) - I was exposing a laughable level of ignorance about p2p programming
