Hope I'm not insulting anyone's intelligence here. (honestly not meaning to). Make sure you connect to the internet through AOL before attempting to connect Limewire to the network.
Also (and someone who know's for sure can step up here) I know for a fact that Bearshare will not connect unless the parental control settings are off, perhaps LW is the same?
