I feel your pain man.

I too have RoadRunnner cable service.
When I download from Microsoft, I get download speeds of like 900K !!! Fast as hell!

When I first started using Limewire, I could get speeds of 100-500K, but now...I'm lucky to connect at all.

I can pick like 30 songs, and only 1 or 2 will actually connect, and when they do connect, it's like at 5-20K. SUCKS!!!

And I know the whole deal about the upload speed of the originator. But that is NOT the issue. I choose people that have T3's. You know how much bandwidth that is?!?!?!
A hundred people could be downloading that without any dent in their bandwidth.

I'm not sure what is causing the slowdowns, but at this point, I would be willing to use pay services if they guaranteed higher bandwidth and faster downloads.


At this point, I've been trying to hunt down FTP sites.
(IF anyone knows any good ones for Ambient, and trance dance music, let me know...I have plenty to share to be fair).
At least then you can get good speeds.
