If you're into irc script you could get large files off of I_Are_See (slow), or, without searching, but still enourmous selections, the news groups (Agent or Newsbin). The great thing about the news groups is that they are only one hop, so, I average 300-to-400 k/sec with peak speeds of up to 1,200 k/sec. Nothing (nothing) on the internet can give me that...

| All my download requests come back denied (95% of the time). I checked the show log and when they don't I get a download speed that fluctuates from about 7 or 8 kbps with very occasional peaks to 15 to 18 kbps. Am I doing something wrong?
With the newsgroups I just subscribe to that newsgroup and then what? How do I get downloads?  |
