Getting mp3s to play in iTunes

Another technique is to go to Apple Menu>Control Panels>File Exchange, find the .mp3 suffix and make sure the application is set to iTunes. Personally, I drag mp3s directly into my music folder, then into iTunes, that way I avoid having to fiddle around with configuration every time I upgrade Limewire or Quicktime.

Repeating searches

On Mac it's command-click to get the same popup menus as on Windows.

Displaying the IP address

Command clicking the title-bar in the search window gives you a popup menu. Select Location.

Getting mp3s from a PC to a Mac

Burn a CD with the mp3s using your favourite PC burning software (Easy CD Creator, Nero etc.) then shove it in your Mac - Macs can read PC disks with no problems.
